To Death and Back: The Art of Resuscitation
This 3-hour course is a wonderful ACLS review. We will discuss how to organize an effective Code Team on your unit. CPR history is included and is a fun segment of the session. This class is appropriate for advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, and other professionals who care for patients in any health care setting. It is approved as 3.3 contact hours for nurses

Cardiac Assessment

This workshop will cover cardiac anatomy and physiology, cardiac inspection, auscultation and percussion. Also covered will be steps to obtaining an accurate cardiac history. This class is appropriate for advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, and other professionals who care for patients in any health care setting. It is approved as 3.3 contact hours for nurses.

Strips and Drips

This 3-hour session reviews basic and complex cardiac rhythms.  We will also include the pharmacologic treatment (drips) that is used to treat dysrhythmias.

Objectives:

1.    The course will review sinus, atrial junctional and ventricular cardiac rhythms.

2.    The course will review heart blocks. 

3.    The course will review current pharmacologic treatment for symptomatic dysrhythmias.

This course is not a basic EKG interpretation course. It is a review course and intended for the provider who has previously completed a basic EKG interpretation course. This seminar is approved as 3.3 contact hours for nurses.

12-Lead EKG Interpretation for RN's

Have you ever found yourself looking at your patient's EKG, wondering if it is showing you ischemia or infarction and where it is happening on the heart?  This course will teach you how to determing that information.  Topics covered will include ischemia, infarction, patterns, bunder-branch blocks and axio deviations.  This class is best for nurses who have a basic understanding of EKG interpretation.   It is approved as 3.3 contact hours for nurses.

About the presenter:
Laura Padron RN has been a critical care bedside nurse for 25 years. She owns a teaching business called AeBn where she provides an array of cardiac courses including CPR, ACLS, PALS and EKG Interpretation. She also serves as a Regional Faculty Member for the American Heart Association.
